Email addresses created through our Email Hosting and Website Hosting plans can be added to Gmail.
Follow the steps below to allow your existing Gmail inbox to send emails from these accounts.
- Ensure you are logged into your Gmail account and are viewing your inbox.
- Click the gear icon in the top right to open the settings tab, then click "See all settings".
- Select the "Accounts" tab from the top of the screen.
- Click the "Add an email address" link located under the "Send mail as" section.
- Enter the email address you are trying to connect to (eg. admin@draeockenden.com.au), then click next.
- The SMTP server depends on if you are using one of our Email Hosting or Website Hosting plans.
Email Hosting: ax.email
Website Hosting: mail.yourdomain.com.au (replace yourdomain.com.au with your server domain, eg. mail.draeockenden.com.au) - The username is the same as your email address entered in Step 5.
- The password was set when the email was created (passwords can be changed).
- Port is 465 for secure or 25 for insecure
- Using a secured connection is highly recommended (ensure you are using port 465 if you select this option).
- Click "Add Account" and you are Done!
